Again, in association with the Diocesan Catechetical Office, Thornhill Centre is involved in Retreat Days for children preparing for Eucharist, Confirmation and leaving Primary School.  These are normally a full-day event and take place at a venue appropriate to the needs of the pupils, the nature of the day and as convenient as possible for the schools.

Days for students in Primary/National School are often timed to coincide with the reception of the Sacraments or with their imminent departure to Second Level study.  It is usual for class groups to be accompanied by their teacher on these days and the teachers are sometimes engaged with parts of the agenda.

• Table quiz
• Movement and singing
• Storytelling
